Kristy Mounsey
I’m Kristy Mounsey (she/her), Neurodivergent, Emotional CPR Educator, and mental health advocate. I bring powerful living experience to my work, shaped by surviving a psychiatric hospitalisation, two suicide attempts and later being dumped just three weeks before the alter. Rebuilding my life from the ground up, I moved interstate, rediscovered love, and began embracing my neurodivergence with pride.
I speak openly about mental health, grief, identity, friendship and the beauty of being unfinished. My storytelling is raw and real—challenging stigma and encouraging others to rethink what it means to live a full, authentic life. With a strong background in peer support, including four years co-facilitating a mental health support group, I now partner with organisations to help create inclusive, emotionally supportive spaces.
Whether I’m sharing my own journey or facilitating deeper conversations around neurodivergence and mental health, my work is rooted in compassion, connection, and the belief that being truly heard can be transformative. I currently live with my partner Adam on the stolen land of the Bunurong people.
